An extremely timely story for those complaining of Apple's control of the apps that run on iPhones:
1. Google also polices malicious apps
2. When it finds malicious apps it can't disable them for users already affected.

@seldo Source for #2? I don't see anything about it in the article. Google has the ability to remove malicious apps from devices and is doing so anytime malicious apps are found.
Apple's control of iOS is still a huge problem, especially for modern web, BTW.
